Members Engagement
Do you know that PIPSC counts over 70, 000 members, but only ~12% them participate in elections and are other Union organized events?
Or, do you know that Executives of the National Capital Region (NCR), the largest region in PISPC that counts over 40,000 members, are elected by less than 1% of eligible NCR members?
This is unacceptable. - If you want changes to happen, you need to be able to express your concerns and be involved. I will do my best to ensure that we will create plenty of opportunities for you to do so - in a safe and professional manner, to get engaged and be part of the decision-making for the Union.
Some ideas that I have already discussed with my Union colleagues are listed below:
Conduct town-halls and group meetings where the issues that divide our community can be safely and professionally discussed (in particular, on the topics that members are afraid to discuss because of fear of reprisal and ostracism,
Organize Seminars with SME on topics of importance to all members, including safety and efficacy of mRNA vaccines.
Questionnaires and polls to explore the most pressing needs for all members.
Demographic analysis of membership - in particular, by their employment mandate (RDA vs. Operations vs. Policies) and level of engagement with the union.
Hot line and forum portal for submitting concerns and feedback.
